In this pivotal role, you'll directly shape the financial journeys of countless individuals, translating intricate regulatory changes and new benefit features into clear, compelling communications that drive engagement and foster long-term financial health. Your expertise will be instrumental in bridging the gap between corporate benefits and individual understanding, making a tangible difference in people's lives. This individual contributor role involves collaborating with cross-functional partners to support communications and education that help participants maximize their employer-sponsored retirement plans and work toward financial wellness. You will be at the forefront of ensuring that regulatory updates and new features are communicated effectively, fostering a deeper understanding and engagement among participants. **What You'll Do:** * Lead the strategic planning, oversight, and management of key regulatory initiatives' impact on participant communications, education, and experiences.
* Develop comprehensive approaches, processes, and project plans to manage impacts across multiple provision workstreams, considering varying plan elections, enactment timelines, and delivery channels.
* Act as the primary marketing liaison in core and sub-team meetings, providing frequent, clear updates to marketing and leadership teams.
* Leverage a deep understanding of participant experiences and communications to inform on impacts and opportunities arising from regulatory changes.
* Collaborate closely with business partners, legal, compliance, digital, B2C and B2B marketing, service communications, and production partners to implement communication plans by required regulatory enactment deadlines.
* Drive discovery, messaging strategies, and rollout for new retirement plan features, ensuring clear and compelling participant engagement.
* Oversee programming communications within technology platforms as needed, ensuring seamless execution.
* Continuously explore opportunities for efficiencies and scale in communication processes.
* Serve as the primary Marketing Subject Matter Expert for relevant regulatory issues, translating complex information into actionable marketing strategies.
* Lead creative development and execution across all channels, managing production processes and quality control, while ensuring robust marketing risk management.
* Regularly communicate program progress and results to key stakeholders and partners, fostering transparency and alignment.
* Work across the entire marketing team to execute each provision, manage inventory, update communications, and ensure data accuracy.
* Scope identified provisions, understand the participant experience, and assess impacts, flagging new data needs or process changes.
* Collaborate with compliance and legal on approved language and positioning, overseeing updates and distribution through appropriate channels.
* Track and communicate the status of updates to stakeholders, ensuring timely completion.
* Lead requests for data and liaise with data, platform teams, and sub-team leads for logic/data requirements.
* Contribute to infrastructure build updates for marketing automation and content management platforms. **Must-Have Qualifications:** * Minimum of 6+ years of integrated B2C marketing communications experience.
* Proven experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry, specifically within retirement plan services and/or workplace benefits.
* Demonstrated ability to seamlessly transition from leading strategy to managing and communicating execution details.
* An innovative, big-picture problem solver who can define a compelling vision and develop breakthrough ideas.
* Relentless curiosity, always seeking and implementing recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Exceptional project management skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
* Excellent writing and editing skills.
* Ability to run large projects with high levels of responsibility, working directly with partners, and driving project schedules in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Adept at connecting regulatory minutiae with the broader communications strategy.
* Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and motivate individuals at all levels across diverse job functions.
* Demonstrated self-leadership and ability to work independently, problem-solve, and navigate ambiguity with ease.
* Clear, authentic, and persuasive communication skills, capable of captivating wide-ranging audiences through presentations and inspiring buy-in.
* A positive demeanor, sense of humor, and flexibility to thrive in an environment with deadlines and changing demands. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Familiarity with marketing automation platforms.
* Retirement plan industry experience preferred.
