Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Director, Workforce Success - Campus provides leadership, supervision, evaluation, and quality assurance for non-credit programs and CE programs at the campus. The position is responsible for oversight of CTE/CE programs and classes using a profit center budget model. The Director collaborates with area agencies, volunteer associations, community-based organizations, and other clients and partners to address and meet their needs. Also coordinates the negotiation of contracts for use with off-site facilities and for the provision of CTE/CE services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Supervise and evaluate the CTE/CE programs
  2. Provide direction and support to the satellite campus coordinator, the Manager, Division Operations and other staff as needed
  3. Oversees the department budget
  4. Recruit and hire Adjunct Faculty and staff; ensure proper training and orientation of instructors and staff
  5. Promote non-credit workforce and community classes and programs to ensure strong student enrollment growth and stability
  6. Collaborate with area agencies, community-based organizations, and other partners to address and meet their needs
  7. Advocate for and represent Corporate and Continuing Education to the local community, college administration, faculty, and staff; promotes through presentations and ongoing contact with chambers, civic organizations, economic development entities, and community-based and state organizations
  8. Provide student's academic advising by phone or face to face
  9. Serve as an effective team member on campus committees and councils, Workforce Council and curriculum teams
  10. Analyze statistical data for decision-making
  11. Participate in and coordinate the development of contracts of understanding with other entities
  12. Provide relevant information and training as well as guidelines for the team in general
  13. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience must include at least 3 years in a management level position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree
  • At least 3 years working in sales and administration of training and development programs
Salary

Hiring salary range is $67,746 - $77,908

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
