SDET Quality Assurance

Summary

Trimble is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Portland, OR. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and evolution of our acclaimed construction collaboration products, as we continuously introduce new features and technologies and integrate AI capabilities.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing software release quality through the implementation of automation, process improvements, and tool enhancements. Working within an agile development environment, the QA Engineer will be responsible for developing and applying tailored testing methodologies to demonstrate quantifiable improvements in Trimble Software releases, with a focus on AI-driven features. This role also involves manual testing, the automation of test cases and workflows, and the validation of AI model performance to accelerate our testing and release cycles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize AI/ML techniques to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement AI-powered test case generation and optimization.

  • Evaluate and integrate AI-driven testing tools and platforms.

  • Manual testing and test plan, test strategy and test case creationDevelop, implement, and maintain automation scripts and test automation frameworks.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve software processes.

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and implementation of testing projects.

  • Design, develop, update, and modify quality testing procedures.

  • Define test objectives and collaborate with the QA Team and other departments to achieve project goals.

  • Perform moderately complex functional, application, regression, and performance testing.

  • Define and adhere to quality initiatives, providing metrics and results to support business decisions related to Viewpoint Software quality.

  • Research and evaluate test automation and performance tools.

  • Champion new automation techniques and best practices within the QA team.

  • Conduct manual testing and create test plans, strategies, and test cases.

    • Ability to analyze and interpret AI model outputs for quality assurance.

    • Possess strong English verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
