The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary The Shawber laboratory in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is recruiting a Technician A to join a basic and translational research lab focused on developmental and pathogenic lymphatic vascular biology. We use a combination of molecular biology, in vitro cell culture systems, conditional transgenic mouse models, and xenograft models to understand the genes that function in lymphatic vasculature and the genetic causes of lymphatic anomalies. We are seeking an outstanding, self-motivated researcher to join our energetic, collaborative, and goal-oriented team. Candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team. The technician will work closely with a postdoctoral research scientist leading a milestone-oriented project which requires detailed record keeping. Responsibilities include molecular cloning, tissue processing, immunostaining, primary cell culture, cell isolation, and basic molecular biology techniques. Other duties include ordering, preparing lab solutions, gathering and organizing data for data sharing, documenting purchases, and communicating with Project Manager. Responsibilities
