Job Description Summary:

The Director of Classified IT and Information Assurance is responsible and accountable for the continued standup and execution of the classified program infrastructure, tools, operational processes / governance, systems administration, lifecycle management, and the development and training of a diverse workforce to meet program requirements in a compliant and survivable manner. The candidate will have responsibility for architecting a multi-year classified program operations roadmap and executing on it. The incumbent will work closely with the Facility Security Officer and Draper Security organization to manage overall security operations. The Director will be responsible for ensuring classified program operations are efficient, undergo continuous improvement, and align with budget, management, and human resources oversight. This position also includes outreach to business stakeholders and external authorization organizations to best align the program operations strategic plan to the needs of the business.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
* Direct and lead a multi disciplinary team in support of program cyber requirements
* Lead a team in the performance of system security engineering activities to include requirements, architecture, design, development, evaluation, certification, and accreditation supporting all phases of systems development and production in the areas of Cybersecurity / Information Assurance (IA) / system security engineering, and security assessment and authorization (A&A) as per RMF (Risk Management Framework) and the NIST System Security Engineering processes
* Execute on business development, strategic planning and cost / schedule focused delivery
* Participate as an active program team member in key recurring operations, including: proposal planning and review, program management reviews, recurring status reporting, staff meetings, etc.
* Support program level requirements for high dollar classified programs and diverse US Government activities where required
* Supervise administration of classified systems, servers, and networks in support of programs.
* Provide leadership and guidance to a geographically dispersed cross functional matrix team including both direct and indirect reports
* Develop and maintain relationships with external high level law enforcement, Defense Department and Intelligence Agency officials including in-country security, intelligence and private sector counterparts
* Closely coordinates cybersecurity controls and governance with the Draper Chief Information Security Officer
* Serves as Insider Threat Official for Draper
* Responsible and accountable for remediation and reporting of classified information spillage.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities
* Program management, or engineering expertise in cyber and/or systems security capabilities and services within the Department of Defense.
* Strong budgeting, cost, schedule, technical, management and negotiation skills.
* Experience with program financial controls, the business acquisition process and operations, defining and implementing a wide range of performance metrics and dashboards to track trends.
* A solid understanding of Cyber protection, resiliency and survivability. Knowledge and understanding of the Cyber Key Performance Parameters (KPP) and how to implement within a program.
* Well versed in Defense Industrial Base (DIB) best practices and the competitive landscape with respect to business opportunities and talent management.
* Demonstrated experience working with matrixed or virtual teams.
* Ability to align Draper's core capabilities and help customers meet their mission objectives.
* Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation skills, organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to clearly present ideas to executive leadership, senior management, line management, governance committees and customers.
* Ability to successfully lead change including organizational transformations, policy changes, and introduction new security related programs.

Education
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience
7-10 years of experience leading large complex information security related organization that includes oversight of highly classified compartmented programs. Experience with DOD RMF and NIST 800-37, 800-53, 800-160, and 800-171.

Additional Job Description:

Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Advanced degree (MS, MBA, etc.) is strongly desired.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is

$150,000.00 - $300,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
