Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and dependable Potting Technician to join our production team. This role involves preparing and applying potting compounds to electronic and mechanical components to protect them from environmental damage, vibration, and contamination. The ideal candidate will have experience working with epoxies, silicones, and other encapsulating materials in a clean, controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix and apply potting compounds according to specifications and safety guidelines
  • Prepare components for potting by cleaning, masking, and positioning as required
  • Operate dispensing equipment and ensure proper flow and coverage
  • Monitor curing processes and inspect finished parts for quality and consistency
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed
  • Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in potting, encapsulation, or related manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Familiarity with epoxies, silicones, and urethanes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

Compensation & Job Classification

  • This is a non-exempt position and will be eligible for all overtime.
  • Salary Range: $53,000 - $58,000 inclusive of overtime pay, paid at an hourly rate.
  • Minimum of ten (10) hours of over-time available weekly. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
