Deputy Test Lead

Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a Deputy Test Lead (Quality Engineer IV) to provide support to the AMP Lead Test Engineer. Other duties would include software performance testing, data collection and analysis, subject matter expertise, and mentorship supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP.The Deputy Test Lead will conduct quality testing on the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) deliverables to ensure optimal performance for the Army client. The Deputy Test Lead will be responsible for assessing software functionality and performance through both manual and automatic testing. The Deputy Test Lead will gather and compile test metric data. Using this data, they will draft reports on the functionality and performance of the software for AMP and will distribute these reports to other senior managers. These performance reports may also be delivered to the Army client. The Deputy Test Lead should be comfortable working in an agile environment, resolving complex problems if and when they arise. While the Deputy Test Lead will be capable of solving the most complex problems without much assistance from other team members, collaboration with the various Agile Teams will be a common aspect of the position, and the Deputy Test Lead should be comfortable with data sharing and information sharing across teams. As a senior engineer, mentorship of junior staff-members will also be part of this position, and the Deputy Test Lead should be willing to coach team members across the AMP program.

Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop testing strategies for a product or release.
• Codes reusable test functions or components.
• Executes manual as well as automated tests to assess software functionality and performance using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
• Identifies, logs, and tracks defects.
• Reports technical issues to development or product management teams and verifies fixes.
• Compiles, update, maintains, and distribute test metrics.
• Performs work with a high degree of latitude.
• Handles the most complex issues.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of Quality Engineering processes.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
• May act as lead or first-level supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications: Certifications in IAT Level II and SAFe for Teams preferred. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Needs great interpersonal/communication skills. Able to translate customer requirements to team goals.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred. Must have experience with Software Testing applications such as Azure Dev Ops (ADO), Tricentis Tosca, ALM, PeopleSoft, Workday, or other ERP experience a plus.

Clearance: This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
