Position Summary: The Outreach Worker/Driver is responsible for connecting with and supporting individuals and communities in need through active community engagement, and the provision of resources. This role is essential in building trust within the community and improving access to critical services. The Outreach worker/ driver is responsible for operating the Winnebago safely, adhering to traffic laws, and potentially assisting with loading/unloading passengers or equipment. Job Details: * This is a grant funded position * This position requires the following background checks: criminal history review, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting Required Education and Experience: * At least one year working with at-risk communities. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Required Skills and Abilities: * Experience working with at-risk individuals and groups. * Ability to effectively communicate with individuals, community groups and individuals at risk. * Ability to closely interact with at-risk individuals, groups, and if necessary, to diffuse violence within Phila. communities. Essential Duties: * Planning efficient routes and navigating to designated locations while adhering to schedules. * Performing basic vehicle checks, reporting any mechanical issues, and ensuring the vehicle is clean and well-maintained. * Maintaining communication with program staff or dispatchers, reporting any incidents or issues encountered during transportation. * Building and maintaining strong relationships with community members, local businesses, and stakeholder groups. * Actively participating in community events, meetings, and workshops to promote programs and services. * Gathering feedback and insights from community members to inform program development and improvement. * Serving as a connector between individuals/families and relevant resources, including housing, food assistance, healthcare, employment services, and education. * Providing information, referrals, and follow-up support to ensure successful access to services. * Maintaining updated knowledge of available community resources and program eligibility requirements.
