For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus for
Patient Service Specialists (PSSs):

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PSS position.
    Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.


This is a part-time, 26 hour per week position.

The Patient Service Specialist (PSS) provides exceptional customer service and administrative support within our Primary Care practice in Wiscasset, Maine. Serving as the first point of contact for patients, the PSS plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered experience. Responsibilities include greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, collecting co-pays, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
