Compensation

$26.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Sales Intern will support the Sales department by assisting with various tasks while gaining a foundational understanding of material products and their applications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide superior levels of customer service to each customer by understanding and meeting client needs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Prepare and submit accurate quotes, contracts, and pricing strategies for projects.
  • Maintain detailed customer records using automated systems.
  • Provide post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Shadow Sales team members and travel to various jobsites to gain hands-on experience.
  • Support the Sales team by developing a pipeline of projects and coordinating job-site services.
  • Monitor market trends, product innovations, and competitor activities.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives that promote products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience
  • Must be actively working towards a college degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need arise
  • Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
  • Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction
  • Sometimes driving long distances to job sites
