Director Non-Invasive Services

Full Time I First Shift

Non-Invasive Cardiology I Lexington, KY

The Noninvasive Lab is a specialized department within a healthcare facility dedicated to performing diagnostic tests and procedures that do not require breaking the skin or entering the body. This unit plays a crucial role in assessing and diagnosing a variety of medical conditions, particularly those related to cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular systems.

Description:

  • Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology will be responsible and accountable for the overall operations of all areas of Non-Invasive Cardiology, which includes Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab, Echocardiography and Vascular Laboratory, as well as off-site echo/vascular imaging sites.
  • Responsibilities include planning, implementing, evaluating quality care of the department and the management, development and motivation of personnel.
  • Ensures department is in constant compliance with departmental policies, procedures followed, Joint Commission, State and Federal regulatory agencies.
  • Establishes, identifies, and ensures systems and standards that promote patients' safety and safe practices for delivering patient care.
  • Reviews department performance in relation to established goals, implements changes to effect continual improvement in services provided, and ensures compliance with all internal and external standards as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Prepares and submits budget and is responsible for maintaining adherence to the budget.
  • Provides, coordinates and/or participates in multidisciplinary teams involving internal and external members. Interviews and hiring staff.
  • Serves as liaison between the department and hospital administration. Responsible for appropriate delegation and supervision of the duties for unit coordinators, supervisors, lead technologists, and charge personnel.
  • Responsible for meeting professional accreditation and licensure standards.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree. (Nursing or health related field)
  • Five years of experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, patients, hospital administration, and other customers.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to serve as a role model and mentor to department management staff.
  • Exhibits strong performance management and change management skills.
  • Maintains a flexible schedule to meet patient care needs.
  • Displays exceptional attention to detail.
