Job Summary

Hotel Nikko San Francisco is searching for an exempt Marketing Manager to join our team. Responsible for social media content and campaigns across all platforms to increase brand awareness and generate direct bookings. Work with the Director of Marketing on various marketing initiatives.

Areas Of Responsibilities

Social Media | Project Coordination | Administrative Support

Supports staff with content creation and managing the Hotel Nikko San Francisco social media accounts: Hotel Nikko, NikkoPupSF, Restaurant ANZU, Kanpai Sushi Lounge, Executive Account, and others if needed.

You must have experience in, and innovative ideas about content generation for social media platforms and an understanding of the hospitality industry.

This position requires expert social media capability and versatility across an array of platforms such as Instagram, Taik Tok, and YouTube, and other social media tools. Enthusiastic, passionate, and driven people are encouraged to apply.

• Assist the Director of Marketing in various projects including an Owners Presentation twice a year that requires expert PowerPoint knowledge.
• Researches and advises on social media best practices
• Gathers content and creates a social media calendar
• Ability and comfort in working with dogs when needed
• Monitors and reports on social media analytics for all platforms
• Responds to comments and messages on all social media platforms
• Innovates new, fresh approaches to ensure that Hotel Nikko San Francisco is maximizing social media channels and reaching new audiences.
• Frequent trips within the city of San Francisco will be required to capture new and fresh photos

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2-year experience managing, analyzing, advising and directing the activity of social media accounts
• Expert knowledge in MS Office including: Power Point, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva
• Expert skills on social media channels, as well as a deep familiarity in best practices for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok, and Pinterest.
• Independent judgment and initiative on assignments that are time-sensitive in nature.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to write and generate content
• Expert knowledge on iPhone as that will be your main tool for content gathering
• Comfortable taking the initiative communicating with outside vendors
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
• Ability to research changes in the social media space
• Ability to edit videos
• Ability to perform statistical analyses.
• Ability to maintain excellent relations with staff.
• Ability to maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to accept responsibility for actions of others.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, meet deadlines and multi-task
• Assist with related duties and special projects as requested.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, lift, reach, pull, push, and grasp.

Work Conditions

• Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
• Sitting occurs approximately 70% of the time.
• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual function being those of near and color vision and depth perception.
