Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a caring and innovative team that values agility, reliability, and integrity while supporting the people and operations at the site.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment at the location.
• Document incidents and/or irregularities according to site-specific protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist with access control procedures and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
