Fabricator Warehouse Associate Triad Technologies McCook, IL Pay: $21 - $26/ hour
 
 Position Overview Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, and performs industrial hose assembly and fabrication tasks. This is a full-time position, M - F, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
 
  
 - Review and prioritize daily shipping orders when received.
 - Pull all parts as indicated on the shipping orders, assemble and prepare components as necessary.
 - Perform industrial hose assembly and fabrication, including cutting, crimping, and testing hoses to meet specifications.
 - Inspect and test assembled hoses for quality assurance, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
 - Properly label and package assembled hoses and other products for shipment.
 - Load and unload trucks as necessary. Inspect containers and materials, reporting any damage or missing items.
 - Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
 -  Determine the appropriate method of shipment.
 - Affix shipping labels on packed boxes.
 - Assemble cardboard containers or select pre-assembled containers.
 - Insert items into containers and bind containers with appropriate tape.
 - Unpack and examine incoming shipments, record damaged items, document shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify discrepancies.
 - Route items to the appropriate location.
 - Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
 - Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
 - Operate a forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping and receiving platform.
 - Other duties as assigned.
 
  
 
 
 
Skills & Experience
 
  
 - High school diploma or GED; and 6 months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 - Experience in industrial hose assembly and fabrication preferred.
 - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
 - Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
 - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
 - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
 - Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Commerce Center.
 - Willing to become forklift certified.
 - Willing to complete Hazard Communication training.
 - Must have excellent attention to detail.
 - Must have access to reliable transportation.
