| General Purpose As a working supervisor, provide work direction and supervision to the maintenance team. Ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services in accordance with the company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws. Oversee the maintenance and mechanical activities to ensure equipment operates effectively and efficiently. Perform general and preventative maintenance, overhauls, modifications, fabrication, welding, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs as needed. Demonstrate expertise in all maintenance functions and provide performance development opportunities to team members on an ongoing basis. *Please note: this is a supervisor with direct reports who also spends a portion of their time performing the job duties of the employees being supervised. Schedule Rotating shift that will start on nights, 10:00pm-6:30am. Will rotate through other schedules of 2:30pm-11:00pm and 6:30am-4:00pm. Will work rotating days with two days off per week.  Prioritize and assign the daily jobs and work orders assignment, detailing any requirements for the day and participating to successfully accomplish the daily tasksEnsure maintenance staff has a good understanding of work practices and procedures; train and develop maintenance staffSupport the maintenance manager to ensure that all preventative maintenance work orders are completed within the given time.Assist with everyday maintenance issues and repairs, including planned, unplanned, and emergency assignments on production, processing, and packaging equipment, as well as utility-related systems, while adhering to all safety proceduresParticipate in the installation of new equipmentTrain operators to troubleshoot complex issues and minimize equipment downtimeCommunicate with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of productionEnsure all repairs are documented. Complete all paperwork clearly, legibly, and accurately with required information. Document all required information in accordance with standard operations proceduresStay up to date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniquesProvide staff with the necessary training on existing and new equipmentUtilizing continuous improvement mindset, identify opportunities to improve processesEnsure safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesComplete supervisory activities such as administering employee promotions and transfers; reviewing and editing employee timekeeping; completing performance evaluations; mentoring, training, and coaching employeesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.  Education and Experience 
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalentGraduation from trade school or technical school preferred in areas such as electrical, programmable controls (PLC/HMI), mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.5 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related experience with demonstrated leadership attributes or team lead experienceExperience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipmentExperience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferredCertification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
