| General Purpose Run and maintain packaging equipment, which includes labelers, scales, conveyors, casers, stackers, coders, and other related packaging items, safely and efficiently in relation to material usage documentation, product waste, sealing, coding, and weight control. Job Duties and Responsibilities 
 
 
 Order packaging material (paper, poly, cartons) from storage as neededVisually inspect boxes, cartons, and other packaged materials for printing defectsEnsure proper sizing of product containersLoad packaging material onto machines in a timely manner to ensure no line stoppagesObserve operation of equipment and perform necessary adjustments to ensure product specifications are metPerform net weight control checks and make equipment adjustments as neededCommunicate any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages, or deviations from specifications to Production Supervisor, maintenance, or other operators verbally and/or in writingInspect packaging, coding, and seals to verify conformance to specifications, and performs necessary adjustments to ensure complianceEnsure the proper packaging materials are used for each product being producedWorking knowledge and experience with wrapper operations; watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent cost downtime due to handler errorEnsure machine is supplied with correct material needed to run and complete logbooks as requiredEnsure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required informationEnsure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP'sAnalyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshootUtilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processesReport any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediatelyMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.  Education and Experience 
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalent preferredWarehouse, production, or general work experience preferredCertification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
