The Clinical Quality Analyst is responsible for providing data support to the Quality Team, including development of reporting tools and examining data to identify trends. This role will be accountable for state level reporting and project management support. The Clinical Quality Analyst will have flexibility to telecommute. This position is open to anyone living within the US with a preference to those located within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Updating and maintaining Performance Improvement Project (PIP) submissions as contractually required
  • Provide data support, including designing data collection formats and identifying appropriate sources of data, to the team or their leadership throughout the project and program life cycle, as appropriate
  • Assist in development of reporting tools including dashboards, data visualization for use internally and externally
  • Apply project life cycle methodology and tools (e.g. PDSA) to drive project quality
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals and deliverables
  • Produce required state reporting and ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Provide administrative support and project management as needed
  • Collaborate with multiple functions that may include Clinical, Provider Relations, Member Experience, Compliance, Network, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy as needed to drive the quality improvement program
  • Examine data and/or information to identify inconsistencies, trends, other information needed
  • Analyze and interpret data or information to ensure they meet standards, are compliant and/or are accurate and complete
  • Participates in or coordinates with other department projects as needed
  • Monitor and oversee the data of performance and activities to improve health and quality outcomes and effective medical management (e.g., HEDIS)
  • Represent the health plan and provide subject matter expertise at internal clinical and quality meetings, regulatory meetings, and any relevant community partner meetings, workgroups, etc.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Assist as needed during HEDIS retrospective chart chase
  • Member outreach calls

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in working with large data sets and providing data-driven analytical insights
  • 2+ years of experience with data and reporting functions
  • Expert level of proficiency with MS Excel
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a Managed Care Organization and/or working with Medicaid population
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with performance improvement projects is preferred
  • Proven solid project and data management skills overseeing multiple concurrent projects, including experience working with multiple databases and analyzing healthcare data
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders using virtual platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
  • Proven skilled in reviewing literature and stakeholder feedback to inform program development and improvement
  • MOTE experience (Internal Candidates)
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Experience engaging with community partners across specialties to support quality initiatives
  • 1+ years HEDIS experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize deliverables
  • Ability to work EST hours
  • Proven excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proven to be a team player and able to work with others as needed
  • Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, matrixed environment

  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations and implement quality improvement interventions based on results of projects. Converts data into usable information and measures the impact of improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement in all aspects of work. Skilled user of quality tools and techniques; Open to innovation, creative ideas, will completely re-engineer work processes when needed. Promotes quality focus among others

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
