18 Position Summary
Provides operational & strategic leadership for the Reliability & System Restoration area in a 24/7 work environment. Actively participates in determining and implementing emergency response strategies to restore the electric power system. Ensures Department goals and objectives are aligned with CPS Energy's business strategy. Actively participates in the development of business strategies and key performance indicators which includes leading cross functional teams to achieve organizational alignment. Owns accountability for team's safety and operational performance. Owns accountability for workforce development by establishing training opportunities, setting clear expectations, responsibilities, and processes for monitoring and measuring results. Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Demonstrated technical knowledge of the Electric distribution power system with an understanding of the transmission system and the distribution network.
Demonstrated mastery of troubleshooting both overhead and URD power systems.
Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) at all levels of the organization
Ability to make good decisions in an emergency situation.
Demonstrated Management aptitude (Interpersonal skills, Action Driven, Problem Solving, Influences others, Stress Management, Delegation)
Demonstrated capacity to plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Ability to move forward and make decisions with ambiguous information; drive for effective results; demonstrated proactive approach
Demonstrated ability to deliver results with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to articulate the business problem to be analyzed, quickly identify the critical elements of the problem, achieve a high quality answer in a timely fashion, and synthesize answers to resonate with decision makers.
