Originates standard residential type mortgage loans referred to the Home Loan Center via telephone and internet. In this role you'll have the opportunity to: Responsible for the origination of standard residential type mortgage loans via telephone and internet with customers referred to the Home Loan Center. Responsible for originating loans in compliance with the Bank's underwriting guidelines and those published by the Bank's investors. Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements for residential loan origination. Responsible for setting up originated loans in the Bank's system and ensuring processing through submission for underwriting. Responsible for attending internal training sessions, internal sales meetings, and external training opportunities. Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations. Responsible for outbound calls to leads/ lead lists on a daily basis as well as follow up and follow through with clients that many be interested in a mortgage loan. Education & Certifications High school diploma or GED Experience 2 or more years of experience in mortgage loan origination required NMLS registration required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proven pattern of success in consistent origination, closing, and funding of mortgage loans. Knowledge of mortgage procedures, regulations, underwriting, and loan processes and procedures. Possess effective presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of the residential mortgage lending process for 1 to 4 family dwellings. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to mortgage loan origination.
