THE OPPORTUNITY

Diversey, a Solenis company, is currently seeking an experienced, professional Key Account Manager with strong sales experience and a passion for building partnerships with regional and national retailers for cleaning, floor care and food sanitation innovations. Our ideal candidate will effectively communicate Diversey's products and programs with key stakeholders at all levels of the customers organization, from C-Suite to store level personnel. This role requires previous experience in commercial cleaning applications, retail operations, food safety and data analytics. Ideal candidates will live in the vicinity of Minneapolis, Chicago, or Milwaukee.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing accounts through personal visits and follow-up on a regular basis.
  • Secure account penetration and loyalty, by adding overall value to customer accounts; improving current programs and introducing new innovations and reporting.
  • Drive engagement with customers at all levels to ensure needs are met, apprise customers of mutual performance, new products, programs and market trends through periodic and formal Business Reviews.
  • Develop and qualify leads within respective geography to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling, partner-selling, lead-generation campaigns, and modern social selling techniques.
  • Gain new business and incremental revenue to meet sales targets.
  • Retain, manage, and grow the existing customer base.
  • Provide multi-product solution opportunities through presentations, training, and demonstrations.
  • Provide customer training and support as needed across the customer's entire enterprise.
  • Collaborate with retail leaders and support teams to ensure profit and value propositions
  • Accurately complete administrative duties; budgeting, forecasting and expenses.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and use appropriate personal protective equipment

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Minimum 5 years outside sales experience in Distributor Sales, Chemical Sales, Manufacturing, or Food Service. (2+ years of Food Safety and Sanitation experience preferred)

Communication Skills: Proven negotiation, relationship management, communication and presentation skills

Special Skills: Strategic thinking, financial acumen, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills and strong analytical skills.

Computer Skills: Expertise with Microsoft Office products and Salesforce CRM.

Travel: 30-50% (overnights as required), must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $83,500.00 and $139,100.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
