| Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30pm Portsmouth (Pease) Location This role requires a solid understanding of medical terminology, imaging pathways (e.g., screening, diagnostic, breast biopsies), EPIC scheduling, CPT code nuances and some clinical interaction. In addition, will require collaboration with patients, technologist, nurse navigators, radiologist, and referring providers. As an Admin Imaging Specialist not only maintains smooth day-to-day operations but handling confidential health information and regulatory readiness. Essential Functions: As an Admin Imaging Specialist II, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and efficient registration and scheduling experience. Responsibilities include: Delivering exceptional customer service in person and via phone Accurately collect and verify patient information Registering patients and scheduling appointments using internal systems Communicate financial responsibilities to promote transparency Collaborating with internal and external providers to ensure accuracy in registration and scheduling patients. Education Customer service or clerical experience at 6 months required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Clinical Scheduling Expertise: Accurately schedule screening, diagnostic, and DEXA exams; verify orders and identify discrepancies based on clinical guidelines. Patient Access & Check-In: Confirm demographics, insurance, and provider details; scan necessary documents and collect electronic signatures. Order & Protocol Management: Place or request internal/external imaging orders, review clinical documentation, and request outside imaging and reports as needed. Communication & Follow-Up:Respond to multi-line phone inquiries, return voicemails promptly, and maintain accurate call logs. Imaging Workflow Knowledge:Understand imaging timelines, modality-specific prep, and clinical urgency for proper scheduling and rescheduling. EMR & In-Basket Proficiency: Navigate EPIC or similar systems to manage orders, messages, and patient records accurately and efficiently. Administrative Accuracy: Track daily voicemail counts, manage calendars, print schedules, and route faxes and emails to the appropriate contacts. Regulatory Compliance & Professionalism: Uphold HIPAA standards, support clinical documentation accuracy, and maintain a professional, patient-centered approach.
