Fleet Manager

What you'll do:

As Fleet Manager in your market, you will run point as the leader of all fleet operations supporting the vehicle lifecycle. This includes leading the Fleet Operations team, managing relationships with vendors and supply chain team, and ensuring our vehicles are safe, clean, and able to deliver an exceptional experience for our members. - this will include increasing and decreasing fleet to meet demand, managing upkeep, repair and maintenance of vehicles.

• Partner with Operations leadership to align on strategic goals and initiatives in order to lead local team to achieve business goals and improve overall member satisfaction (NPS).

• Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles

• Responsible for maintaining fleet costs in accordance to market budget.

• Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts and relationships to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard.

• Work across Zipcar functional teams to support performance and process improvement.

• Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of fleet management staff including but not limited to: performance management, succession planning, goal setting, development and input performance reviews.

• Collaborating with talented, passionate colleagues representing a large cross section of our functional teams that bring their authentic and whole selves to work

What drives success for a Fleet Manager:

• Strong time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and tasks

• Excellent communication with operations team to ensure the vehicle status updates are provided

• Flexibility to work 40 hour weeks which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Willingness to work outdoors (weather and other conditions vary)

• Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record (per company standards)

• Ability to carry tools and marketing materials (up to 50 lbs.)

The annual starting rate for this position is between $68,640 - $80,000 per year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
