The RoleThe role is to be part of the GDOT Professional Services delivery team, supporting project execution primarily within the region, and globally as required. Expectation that following a brief period working under the guidance and direction of an Advisory consultant will quickly develop the required experience and skill to take on the project technical lead role, i.e. within 1 year. Your Impact
  • Collaborate with project leads to successfully execute GDOT initiatives across all phases-assessment, kick-off, design, modeling, configuration, installation, commissioning, and post-audit-ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to GDOT studies, proof-of-concept trials, and evaluations, while delivering effective user training to drive adoption and operational excellence.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams-including Customer Support and R&D-to troubleshoot and resolve GDOT-related issues, demonstrating a strong team-oriented mindset and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
  • Support Sales and Marketing efforts to expand GDOT license adoption and grow the services business through strategic engagement and technical expertise.
  • Mentor, train, and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Exhibit a strong passion for learning and applying emerging technologies to enhance GDOT solutions and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Communicate effectively in customer-facing environments, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Apply proactive problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar relevant qualification.
  • 10+ years of Petroleum industry experience.
  • Background in leading Advanced Process Control (APC) implementations is a requirement with exposure to one or more of the following areas: refinery process operations, refinery planning, refinery scheduling, or optimization technologies will be an advantage for this role.
  • Understand the concepts of multi-variable identification and be able to proficiently execute data analysis for larger scope problems.
  • Exposure to plant systems (e.g. data historians) and limited programming experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively (up to 30% of the time, on average, but not on a continuous basis).
