Position Summary:

The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of work to deliver proper maintenance and repair to facilities and manufacturing equipment, grounds, buildings, systems and assets. Hiring, leading and mentoring individuals and teams of employees, and managing service provider relationships and expectations, is key to success.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Prioritize and coordinate daily work and project tasks of Facilities and Maintenance functions.
  • Provide leadership of individuals and teams, including but not limited to, hiring, training, managing and evaluating performance & merit, assisting with professional development plans, and recognition
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Environmental, Health, and Safety to accomplish objectives and drive a Safety-First culture. Champion a safe, effective, and well-maintained work environment for employees and visitors.
  • Oversee and lead the installation, maintenance and daily operational integrity of facility HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems.
  • Maintain manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other departmental specific equipment as assigned, to achieve optimum machine performance and support business functions. Prioritize and coordinate maintenance work planning and scheduling to reduce production downtime and to minimally impact quality systems.
  • Utilize data and experience to propose and execute cost reduction opportunities, improve processes and systems, address equipment capability gaps, or align conditions for future business needs.
  • Accountable for planning and delivery of internal and external training for facilities and maintenance skills and processes. Ensure proper training of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Building Automation System.
  • Provide development and improvement input, and ensure team and contractors comply to the Cirtec Medical Quality Management System (QMS) and external regulations.
  • Provide collaborative security support for the site, facilities maintenance, housekeeping teams, outside contractors, and shipping/receiving.
  • Participate in and/or lead the planning and execution of equipment installations, relocations, renovations, new construction projects, and other related projects; manage third party vendors and service providers, including service agreements
  • Support department budget preparation, cost tracking, financial forecasting and identifying and implementing efficiency programs to manage costs appropriately.
  • Assist with documenting and maintaining facilities and manufacturing fixed assets, record inventories, and report changes to the Controller.
  • Oversee building janitorial functions and activities including daily building operations, staffing levels, housekeeping practices and supplies inventories.
  • Collect and analyze data to make fact-based decisions regarding equipment maintenance, replacement, parts inventory, and PM scheduling.
  • Maintain and ensure execution of processes for MRO and keep-stock responsible inventories.

Must Have:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relative fields such as (but not limited to) Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics Technology, Electrical Systems, Computerized Control Systems, CNC, HVAC, or Industrial Maintenance Technician.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in Facilities or Equipment Maintenance required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and customer service experience. Must be able to lead by example, be self-motivated, demonstrate high-energy, and possess a positive outlook coupled with a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated experience in areas of facilities or equipment installation and/or relocation, construction, build out, interiors, branding, space planning, contractor/supplier relationships, facility security, life safety systems, and/or equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting and developing business positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Read and write in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with use of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and Building Automation System (BAS) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment
  • Ensure appropriate response to critical alarms, including managing 24/7 on call responsibilities and related procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Teams



Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000. This is a salary/exempt role
