Therefore, you may be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position The Director of Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Services is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily administrative and clinical operations of substance use treatment and recovery services across that state prisons. This role ensures compliance with departmental policies, evidence-based program criteria, and the standards set by the American Correctional Association (ACA) for accreditation. Key duties include strategic planning, program development, contractor and departmental program monitoring, data collection and dissemination, grant oversight, policy development, technical assistance, conducting annual reviews of addiction treatment services, and conducting regular site visits to meet with participants/staff, and prepare written reports/evaluations. How you make a difference in this role: The TDOC Director of Addiction Treatment and Recovery Services or designee shall be responsible for: Strategic Planning: Develop and Implement strategic plans and goals for substance use treatment and recovery services to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with regulatory standards. Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to clinical and administrative staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development. Budget Management: Oversee the budget for substance use treatment and recovery services, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. Job Overview: Quality Improvement: Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of treatment programs and services. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and other partners, to promote and enhance substance use treatment and recovery services. Policy Development: Assist in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to substance use treatment and recovery services. Research and Evaluation: Conduct or oversee research and evaluation activities to assess the effectiveness of programs and identify opportunities for improvement. Advocacy: Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with substance use disorders within the correctional system. Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Licensure: Must be licensed as an alcohol and drug counselor (LADAC I, II, ICRC. NAADAC I, II, or possess a Master level NAADAC certification). Experience:
