Spring Lake Village - Full Time Temporary (40 hours weekly)

Pay Range: $35.50 - $40.00

Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5: 00 pm

Summary:
The Fitness and Aquatics Center Manager seeks ways to develop, enhance, promote, and sell the Center's program. Serves as a role model to Fitness and Aquatics Center (FAC) participants, prospects and the outside community. This is a full time temporary position, 40 hours weekly, for four months and may extend longer to five or six months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Follow and apply exercise norms/protocols per industry standards.
  • Instruct individuals and group classes with appropriate techniques.
  • Manages center's operation including facilities, personnel, and programs
  • Stimulates wellness programs for co-workers and works with other departments establishing wellness applications and continuum of services (i.e., food service, activities, therapy, etc).
  • Offers personal training and other fee-based services.
  • Maintains equipment as needed.

Qualifications: Must be proficient in all areas of accountability. Understanding the unique needs of the elderly. Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills required. Represents the FAC with an enthusiastic, friendly, and welcoming demeanor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: B.S. or M.S. in Exercise Science or degree in related discipline combined with relevant continuing education and profession experience. Certification with ACSM, ACEM AFAA, or SFA helpful but not mandatory. Three to five years of experience as a personal trainer, instructor, and/or assistant to a fitness or wellness director.
