 Abnormal AI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role will be a key contributor to the month-end close, financial reporting and operational accounting processes, while driving improvements to efficiency and scalability across the accounting function. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical knowledge, analytical thinking and a proactive approach to solving problems. This person thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, takes ownership and is eager to build processes that support a world-class Finance organization. Role and Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Own key areas of the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysisEnsure accuracy, completeness and compliance with U.S. GAAPParticipate in the global consolidation process, ensuring accurate aggregation of financial data from international subsidiariesPrepare and review supporting schedules for internal and external financial reportingAssist with the preparation and filing of various local and regulatory filingsPartner with FP&A and key business partners to explain results and provide meaningful commentary on financial fluctuationsSupport the development of scalable processes and accounting documentationSupport SOX readiness and internal control documentationPrepare audit-ready workpapers and assist with external audit requestsDevelop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure alignment with accounting standards and best practicesIdentify and implement opportunities to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close processLeverage systems and AI tools to automate and streamline accounting workflows, enhance data accuracy and reduce manual effortPerform various ad-hoc projects as needed
 In this job, you will bring these skills:
 
 
 
 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including experience in a public accounting firm or high-growth corporate environment. Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related fieldCPA or CPA candidacy strongly preferredIndepth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting principlesProven ability to analyze data, identify issues and drive solutions independentlyExcellent attention to detail, organization and time managementProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross-functionallyAbility to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, highly transactional and data-driven roleProficiency with NetSuite strongly preferredExperience incorporating AI tools into daily workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy and automation of accounting processes is highly valued
