Key Responsibilities
Perform patient care activities in compliance with Federal, State, and department regulations.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including vital signs, medical history, and symptoms, to determine appropriate care protocols.
Administer advanced medical treatments such as airway management, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and trauma care following established protocols.
Safely transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities while continuing to provide medical care en route, ensuring patient stability and continuous monitoring.
Ensure ambulance and equipment readiness by maintaining vehicle stock levels and performing routine checks per department standards.
Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators, oxygen tanks, stretchers, and monitoring devices, ensuring all are in proper working order.
Accurately document patient care activities, interventions, and observations using electronic medical records (EMR) or patient care reports (PCR).

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts) required.
  • Licensure: Current certification through the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS).
  • Additional Certifications: Valid CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Work Experience
  • Previous experience as a Paramedic in a field or prehospital setting required; 0-1 year preferred.


- Maintain flexible work schedule to provide patient care as needed. (evenings, holidays, weekends and travel)

Skills - Working knowledge of IFT equipment including portable ventilators and infusion pumps.
