Aloha! One of Hawaii's largest hospitals is seeking a proactive IT Hardware Technician to assist with preparing equipment and devices for the Windows 11 upgrade. This person will work closely with the IT team to ensure all hardware is unboxed, set up, and updated, to support a smooth and efficient transition. Responsibilities: - Unbox, assess, and inventory existing devices to determine compatibility with Windows 11. - Prepare hardware by performing upgrades, installations, and configurations to meet the requirements for the Windows 11 update. - Conduct diagnostic testing to ensure all equipment functions correctly after preparation. - Provide support in troubleshooting hardware issues and performing repairs or replacements as needed. - Collaborate with the IT team to schedule and prioritize devices for upgrade preparation. - Document hardware configurations and processes to maintain accurate records. - Assist end-users with hardware-related queries during the upgrade process. - Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards throughout the preparation process. - Assist with imaging and/ or Windows 11 deployment. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically. Additional Skills & Qualifications - Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. - Familiarity with Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11. - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. - Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset. - Ability to lift and transport hardware components as required. ** The ideal candidate is professional, intuitive, and team work oriented. Someone who can pick up quickly and jump in to help. Excellent communication and work ethic. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
