Engineering Project Manager:


The Project Manager leads customer-facing projects for Alpha Safety and NFT Inc., ensuring the successful delivery of engineered products and solutions to nuclear industry clients. This role manages the full project lifecycle - from contract initiation through design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery - with accountability for schedule, scope, and profitability. The Project Manager acts as the central point of communication between customers, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, and at target margins.


Essential Job Functions:



  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of customer projects within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Serve as the primary customer liaison, managing communication and expectations from contract through final acceptance
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and profitability forecasts
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams in engineering, production, procurement, and quality to ensure on-time delivery
  • Manage risk, scope changes, and contract deliverables to maintain profitability and customer confidence
  • Conduct regular internal and customer status reviews; report metrics via Monthly Business Review (MBR) dashboards
  • Support quotation and estimating teams to validate project timelines and cost structures
  • Ensure compliance with all nuclear industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory documentation requirements
  • Drive post-project lessons learned to continuously improve delivery performance
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Experience:



  • 3+ years of experience in project management or program delivery within nuclear, defense, aerospace, or high-reliability manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineered-to-order or customized product delivery programs
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, contracts, project milestone timelines, and profitability targets
  • Industrial Technology, or relevant Project Management training/experience


Required Education:



  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, project management, Industrial Technology, or other relevant field
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:



  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills with proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent tools
  • Excellent communication and customer-relationship management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and lead multidisciplinary project teams
  • Financial acumen to manage cost, margin, and cash flow targets
  • Familiarity with nuclear quality assurance programs (e.g., NQA-1) preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
