Job Title:Dev Ops QA Associate II



Position Summary:



  • Candidate must possess knowledge of Quality Assurance/DevOps Best Practices and QA Standards and be able to apply that knowledge.
  • Under supervision of QA Lead this candidate will evaluate acceptance criteria and business requirements, assist in writing test suites, and will execute test cases manually for new or modified applications.
  • Under supervision of QA Lead this candidate will be responsible for reviewing new or modified applications including documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts, to determine if program will perform according to user stories/requirements and conform to guidelines.
  • Under supervision of QA Lead this candidate will enter defects and present steps to recreate errors to report issues to developers to fix and report to stakeholders for risk assessment.
  • Candidate will execute testing manually based requirements/acceptance criteria while keeping user experience in mind and ease of use of new projects and defect resolution.



Location: Hybrid, downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania



Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute test cases/scripts manually in an agile or waterfall project environment
  • Create and manage test data in Azure DevOps
  • Triage defects and support in resolution, reporting these issues to developers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver the product or product feature
  • Aid in regression suite development
  • Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for web and enterprise applications
  • Collaborate with developers and architects to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance
  • Create detailed test plans, test scripts, and test data for performance testing scenarios
  • Analyze test reports/results using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or similar
  • Stay current with emerging tools, trends, and best practices in performance testing



Additional Responsibilities:



  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Storm role duties as assigned



Education and Experience Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related
  • 2+ years of relevant experience required



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Test case management tools
  • Working in an Agile Environment
  • Experience in Oracle Utility Suite, SQL, Web & Mobile Development
  • C# and/or Python



Scope

Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Typically, accountable for managing one's own time and workflow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continue to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed



Decision Impact

Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making in straightforward situations based on precedents.



Hybrid Work

Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.



Storm Roles

All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset. Please be sure to discuss storm roles with the hiring manager for this position, as duties can vary across the Company.Examples of storm roles could include but aren't limited to duties such as: working with operations for service center support or with the communications, customer service or government affairs teams to respond to public and customer requests for information, etc.



Data Governance

Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
