NYU Langone Health Rusk Rehabilitation is seeking an Oncologic Rehab Physiatrist to join Rusk Rehabilitation.

The successful candidate will have fellowship training in cancer rehabilitation, and expertise in the areas of complex rehabilitative needs of individuals with cancer, with the goal of helping them re-establish optimal function during and following treatment.

The candidate should be an expert clinician with a deep background in rehabilitative care for people with cancer, providing patients with individualized treatment plans. They will work in conjunction with clinicians at NYU Langone's Perlmutter Cancer Center to deliver individualized rehabilitative care for patients regardless of where they are in their cancer care.

As an oncologic physiatrist, responsibilities will include the following: provide high quality of care, improve patient access to care, enable growth of the Department's ambulatory oncological rehabilitation services; establish effective and collaborative relationships with the Cancer Center and its physicians; contribute to the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine's academic mission through residency education and represent the Department at regional and national medical society meetings in leadership and/or educational capacities. The position requires weekly split assignments at both Brooklyn and Manhattan campus as well as weekend call coverage of inpatient rehab.

Candidates must be Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a current, active and unrestricted Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license to practice in NY and a current DEA License. All candidates should have demonstrated interests in academics, research, and teaching residents, students and fellows.

Salary range: $225,000 - $230,000. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
