Job Purpose Receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Assists production in prepping raw materials for use in finished products. Operate company vehicle and equipment to ensure the accuracy of storage and distribution of materials and products throughout the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assist shipping by Unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing * Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped. * Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. * Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as type, size, style, color or product code. * File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area. * Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic. * Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a designated holding area or shipping department. * Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods. * Open bales, crates and other containers. * Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via Visual Program * Open bales, crates and other containers. * Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via Visual Program. * Assist in counting physical inventory by weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. * Operates Forklift and various moving equipment. * Load and unload packages onto company van. * Pick up and deliver orders by company van. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent * Valid driver's license * Two to four years' experience in a large-scale warehouse * Ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel * Ability to operate a forklift * Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills General Job Requirements Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee. Must be able to stand for long periods of time This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions. Must be able and willing to work overtime. Must be able and willing to operate a forklift.
