General Purpose Support the manufacturing locations with customer request fulfillment, maintenance of internal and external product specifications, and customer compliance database systems, while receiving guidance and direction from senior peers. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for all incoming raw materials to verify compliance with supplier specifications, including physical, chemical, and microbiological attributes.
- Maintain email and data management systems to ensure customer inquiries and requests are received, catalogued, and fulfilled in a timely manner
- Assist with the creation, maintenance, and annual reviews of internal product specifications that cover data points related to food safety, quality, labeling compliance, retail level packaging, and distribution characteristics
- Maintain accurate records of lot numbers and quantities for all ingredients and packaging materials to ensure traceability and inventory control
- Perform monthly internal audits of the warehouse to verify adherence to Food Safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Assist with compiling and publishing metrics for internal manufacturing locations
- Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
- Collect and ship product samples for customer review or external laboratory testing as required.
- Assist the Procurement Team during monthly physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of quality or related experience
- Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems (Excel and SAP)
- Knowledge and understanding of planning and production methodologies
- Strong understanding of plant processes in relation to production processes for each line
- Able to communicate with various levels of personnel to ensure customers' needs and requirements are met
- Able to demonstrate solid business judgment and decision making skills
- Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
- Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize own work activities
- Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
- Able to complete basic arithmetic, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions
- Able to to conduct research into issues or situations
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
