Responsibilities

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will combine two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network starting in late fall 2025. This brand new 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility will offer the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents.

Hanover Hill is seeking an experienced Assessment Coordinator (RN/Lic Therapist). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility, including EPIC.

The Assessment Coordinator (RN/Lic Therapist), under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients. The Intake RN is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The Assessment Coordinator (RN/Lic Therapist) works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data and verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • 2-3 years in substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
