Security Officer - Access Control - Hotel Location

As a Security Officer - Access Control - Hotel Location in Vinton, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to the premises. Your presence and attention to detail will support a secure environment for guests and staff. You will also interact with visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity that define the Allied Universal team.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures at the location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service to guests and staff by following site-specific policies and procedures, and responding to inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as necessary based on protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site guidelines.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, if applicable, to identify and report potential security-related issues promptly.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, following established procedures for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
