What You'll Do
  • Own the Customer Relationship: Serve as the primary liaison between our brand and the customer's buying, merchandising, and category teams. Analyze multiple data sources (retailer POS, syndicated data, shopper insights) to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop & Execute Account Strategy: Build annual joint business plans aligned to the customer's objectives and our growth goals, including assortment, pricing, shelving, and promotional strategies.
  • Leverage Customer Systems: Utilize proprietary platforms (e.g., Vendor Item Portal, Kompass, CPI, 84.51) and syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen) to optimize assortment, shelf presence, and promotional ROI.
  • Manage Broker: Lead the relationship with our broker to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and flawless execution at store level. Set annual performance targets, lead quarterly business reviews, provide feedback and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to drive distribution, promotion compliance and retail excellence.
  • Manage Trade Spend & Promotions: Plan and track trade budgets, execute promotional calendars, and evaluate post-event performance to maximize ROI.
  • Drive Category Leadership: Partner with Category & Insights to deliver compelling, data-driven sell stories that position branded solutions as incremental growth drivers.
  • Forecast & Analyze: Maintain accurate monthly forecasts for base and promotional volume; monitor POS and shipment data to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure flawless execution and alignment on pricing, compliance, and inventory.
  • Compliance & Vendor Standards: Ensure adherence to customer's vendor requirements, including EDI compliance, on-time delivery (ORAD), and item data management via Syndigo/Salsify/1WorldSync.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management or National Account Management within US Grocery retail (CPG/FMCG strongly preferred).
  • Proven success managing major grocery accounts, with deep knowledge of systems and processes (Kompass, CPI, Vendor Item Portal, EDI).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using IRI, Nielsen, and 84.51 to drive decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, self-starter, thrives in ambiguity, and acts with urgency.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with senior retailer stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage trade spend and promotional ROI effectively.
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency in CRM tools; experience with data visualization platforms a plus.
Why Join Us
  • Be part of a disruptive brand redefining the in-store bakery experience.
  • High-impact role with autonomy and visibility-your insights will shape retailer strategy and brand growth.
  • Collaborative, fast-paced culture where initiative is rewarded.
