Summary
Will facilitate organ donation, including obtaining consent from next of kin and obtaining clinical, medical, and educational information on tissue donors. Additionally, I will work in cooperation with the Clinical Director to input all donor-related data into the database, ensuring that all information is current and standardized across sites. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Obtaining consent for tissue or organ donation from the Next of kin. -Obtaining written consent from next of kin for medico-clinical documentation and establishing contact with clinicians, medical examiners, organ procurement organizations and educators for donor records. -Arranging and conducting in-home or video-based visits to conduct diagnostic interviews. -Entering data and documentation into the database. -Participate in an 'on call' schedule with the Clinical Director to ensure 24 24-hour per day/ 7 days per week coverage for organ and tissue donations. -Participate in regular Case Review and Audit meetings with Clinical Director to review and update new and existing (open) cases. -Write clinical summaries following receipt of records and chart reviews following standards of practice.
