GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Analyst - Supply Chain will be responsible for slotting strategy (product placement) and execution in the Atlanta Distribution Center (DC). The Senior Analyst - Supply Chain will determine the best placement of products in the DC to deliver products to our customers at desired service level while enabling high productivity to keep the costs low. In doing so, the Sr. Analyst- Supply Chain will perform analytics on current product placement, collaborate with internal departments such as forecasting and planning, operations, business systems/IT, and engineering for receiving inputs and identifying improvement opportunities (projects) and finalize the slotting plan for the DC.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and maintain slotting strategies for optimal storage utilization and product placement.
  • Maintain a long-term storage capacity planning template to identify constraints if any (Units, Stock Keeping Units - SKUs, Cubic Volume etc.)
  • Perform slotting assignment analysis for SKUs
  • Monitor stock in transit and under receiving to optimize the put-away strategy.
  • Develop and update key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock rotation and saturation of the bins
  • Manage the replenishment and housekeeping process.
  • Prepares daily/weekly/monthly reports utilizing various planning systems, SAP, Business Objects, etc., continually modifying to meet new business requirements
  • Assists team with development of complex Excel spreadsheets, automation formulas, & reports formatting
  • Recognize trends, present improvement ideas to the senior leadership and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop annual plan for improvement initiatives and execute slotting projects as per project plans
  • Build and leverage relationships with functional leaders and collaborate with internal business partners to deliver optimal capacity solutions.
  • Create appropriate presentation material for various business reviews, including KPI reviews


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems)
  • 3+ years' experience in Logistics/Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering or similar environment
  • Able to gather, manipulate, & interpret data from different sources, solve problems, & establish priorities
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, in addition to strong presentation ability
  • Project management and communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Well organized, self-motivated, ability to adhere to deadlines & multi-task
  • Strong analytical & mathematical skills - able to extract conclusions from available data
  • Highly organized and process oriented with an ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
  • Expert in advanced analytics (example: Access, VBA, Power Query, Alteryx, coding macros)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Prior experience in slotting, simulation/wave planning and capacity planning
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and planning systems
  • Experience with Automation tools such as Excel Macros, Power Automate, Power Apps
  • SAP & planning systems experience
