Purpose: The person hired in this role will support Dover's Supply Chain and Sourcing Organizations by providing analytical expertise, support project management activity, and manage select supplier relationships. As the candidate grows in knowledge and experience, the analyst will be asked to assume greater levels of responsibility for leading strategic sourcing and other supply chain / operations improvement projects and will be considered for other opportunities within Dover Corporation. The analyst will work on initiatives across a wide range of Dover's operating companies, as well as Dover Corporate business needs. Experience: Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in at least one (and ideally more) of the following areas: Procurement, supply chain, engineering / technical, manufacturing operations, management consulting, logistics, project management. Recent graduates with strong manufacturing supply chain internship experience will also be considered. Scope Of Responsibilities: * Identify and drive Indirect Strategic Sourcing initiatives across Indirect Products and Facilities service-related categories. * Serve as a Analyst on complex projects, communicating with sponsors directly with limited oversight, and developing engagement management, stakeholder relationship management, risk management, and delivery management skills. * Create financial models, define data requirements, identify assumptions, model cost-benefit analysis, and structure storyboards to communicate insights and results of analysis. * Support documenting methodologies, project assets and tools. * Obtain and analyze market intelligence such as supplier, customer and competitor data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. * Quantitative profile development, data analysis and business case development for strategic sourcing projects (supplier research, master data, market basket analysis, pricing analysis, etc.). * Execute sourcing initiatives from initial opportunity assessment through supplier engagement and implementation. * Develop skills to create category strategies and communicate direction different levels of the organization including Corporate and Dover Operating Companies (OpCos). * Vendor management of specific supplier relationships. * Develop rapport and confidence of our internal stakeholders and our suppliers to enhance collaboration and improve project adoption. Drives for continuous improvement * Strong external & global orientation: Looks external to understand the global business context in which we operate * Knowledge of MRO products and supplies, Packaging, machining and fabrication OEM equipment, and/or Professional Services categories a plus * Extensive MS Office Knowledge - ability to create and manipulate datasets. Work Requirements: * Up to 25% of travel may be required * Normal office environment Education: * Bachelor's degree and/or Graduate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Science, or Engineering. * Experience, training or education in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, data analysis, project management and/or procurement processes * Work experience in a manufacturing company a plus * Strong proficiency in all MS Office applications; advanced word processing and database skills a plus * Professional Procurement, Supply Chain and Project Management certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, etc.) a plus Work Arrangement: Hybrid Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
