Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Rockledge, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Perform functions to ensure the extrusion press operates efficiently in manufacturing production.
  • Work in an open-air facility, experiencing both hot/cold conditions.
  • Perform duties to set up, adjust, and operate an aluminum extrusion press, quality lab, drive a lift-truck and its peripherals to extrude aluminum in specified products, determining appropriate settings and operational sequences, within the limitations of standard methods and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot press operation in areas relating to manufacturing problem resolution and process improvement, working within the limits of established policies.
  • Work from schedules, production orders, prints, and specifications.
  • Verify the alloy and length of the billet, and set the heater controls to the proper specifications.
  • The operation of the press requires the sequential operation of multiple control panels to ensure proper functioning.
  • Make adjustments to press and peripheral equipment to set up product layout guides and tooling, and set and adjust parameters to ensure the material meets customers' specs.
  • Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as needed, or directed, to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Ensure safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility.
  • Assist in the process examination and quality documentation, determine causes for problems through root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.
  • Follow up to help establish product & customer issues.
  • Assist in Press Equipment validations, safety, and quality audits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • This position operates in a manufacturing production floor environment.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $17.10 / hour. +.50 shift differential

Hours: 40 hrs/Week. (2nd shift).

Length: Contract to hire.

  • Ability to exercise judgment in setting up, adjusting, and operating an aluminum extrusion press and its peripherals to extrude aluminum into specified shapes, determining appropriate settings and operational sequences.
  • Excellent mental and visual attention to monitor extrusion operations involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity.
  • Basic proficiency in computers.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of process-related standards.

  • Certified Production Technician.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Hot in the Summer, cold in the Winter.
  • Can work overtime, including weekends.
  • Scheduled day off could fluctuate.
  • There will be a need to enter the production floor, and employees will be subject to hazards including odors, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, noise, and Temperature.
  • Ability to safely maneuver throughout the plant and always wear safety gear.

  • Frequently sitting, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands or arms, repetitive motion, close visual acuity.
  • occasionally stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Team members frequently lift to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
