IT Implementation Project Manager

Position Overview

As a Technology Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Lynx medication inventory management system software/hardware implementation projects with McKesson's drug distribution customer portfolio. You'll work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget-while aligning with strategic goals and customer expectations.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Execution:
  Direct and coordinate all phases of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client needs.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  Partner with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Scope & Planning:
  Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders; develop detailed project plans and timelines.

• Resource Management:
  Ensure appropriate resource allocation and skill alignment for successful task ownership and execution.

• Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  Monitor project progress using appropriate tools; report status, escalate issues, and manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget.

• Risk & Issue Management:
  Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success.

• Documentation & Communication:
  Maintain comprehensive project documentation; facilitate clear and consistent communication across all levels.

• Go-Live Support:
  Lead and support go-live activities to ensure smooth transitions and successful project outcomes.

• Continuous Improvement:
  Develop process maps, diagrams, and documentation to support ongoing optimization and knowledge sharing.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills

• 4+ years of experience managing system implementation projects

• Proven experience in project management, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• PMP Certification (preferred)

• Experience with system to system integrations/interfaces

Additional Skills

• Strong client-facing and internal communication skills

• Experience using project management software like Smartsheet

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities

• Experience in healthcare technology or electronic systems implementation
