Title: Inventory/Warehouse Supervisor - Spanish Bilingual
Work Location: North Houston Area Hours: 6:00am - 4:00pm FLSA: Exempt, Direct-Hire, Full-Time OVERVIEW: A growing food manufacturer is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Inventory and Warehouse Supervisor to manage the daily operations of their plant in the North Houston Area. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this critical role is approximately 70% focused on floor supervision and 30% on administrative and computer-based tasks, requiring strong leadership and expertise in inventory control using an ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience including food related warehouse operations and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively manage the team and ensure operational excellence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO: Maintain accurate records for materials and products that are received, transferred, or distributed within the warehouse network, ensuring proper documentation at all times. Support periodic cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to confirm stock accuracy and resolve any discrepancies identified during the process. Oversee inventory rotation practices and confirm that FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures are consistently followed across all storage areas. Receive incoming goods and verify quantities and condition of raw materials, production components, and finished goods as they move between locations or facilities. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to address defective or non-conforming products, and work toward implementing appropriate corrective measures. Utilize the company's ERP system to record and reconcile inventory movements, investigate variances, and perform root-cause analysis when inconsistencies arise. Prepare and fulfill sales order picks and production work orders, ensuring materials are staged accurately and in a timely manner. Contribute to warehouse efficiency by assisting with facility layout planning, workflow design, and material handling strategies. Work with senior leadership to define operational targets and performance objectives for warehouse operations and staff. Assist with day-to-day warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving functions, when operational coverage is needed. Ensure all activities comply with established GMP standards, SOP guidelines, and workplace safety requirements. Participate in company training programs covering safety, GMP compliance, standard operating procedures, and cross-functional skill development. QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated experience working in warehouse operations and inventory management, with at least five years in a similar capacity. Prior experience supervising teams in the food or beverage manufacturing sector.
Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written formats.
Strong background in inventory oversight, including hands-on experience utilizing ERP platforms for tracking and reconciliation.
Capability to guide, mentor, and motivate operational staff, fostering productivity and team development.
Familiarity with industry compliance standards such as SQF, GMP, and organic certification requirements is advantageous.
Comfortable operating material-handling equipment, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Self-directed professional who can perform efficiently in a dynamic, high-volume work environment.
