Job Title: Fluid System Project Engineer Location(s): Orlando, FL Position Overview: The Fluid System Project Engineer is responsible for specifying and integrating key components-including valves, heat exchangers, pumps, and instrumentation-into complete auxiliary fluid system packages such as Hydraulic and Lube Oil Skids. This position ensures compliance with contractual requirements, validates that the reference design aligns with customer specifications, and manages design modifications when needed. The role functions as the primary technical interface between suppliers, customers, and internal engineering teams throughout order execution.
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will review system requirements, develop and refine process designs, and specify components for complex fluid systems. You will coordinate with suppliers to ensure technical compliance, collaborate with internal disciplines such as piping, electrical, and I&C, and support commissioning efforts. You will also validate technical documents, manage customer deliverables, and ensure timely execution of auxiliary systems for gas and steam turbine packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for all Fluid Systems-related topics for Lube Oil Packages, Hydraulic Skids, and related auxiliary systems.
- Lead the complete order execution process for gas turbine auxiliaries and manage the fluid system technical scope for both steam and gas turbine packages.
- Develop and configure Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in COMOS for all assigned systems.
- Prepare technical specifications and review key engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials and vendor drawings.
- Provide engineering support during site implementation and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical Engineering, and Piping/Layout.
- Coordinate cross-functional customer deliverable documents such as interface drawings and electrical load lists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong desire to learn and expand capabilities across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and manage tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage across multifunctional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
