At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), our mission to end cancer for life relies on exceptional clinical care, groundbreaking research, and world-class operational excellence. The Epic SeniorBusinessDataAnalyst-Health Systems Operations plays a critical role in advancing MSK's Health System Operations through sophisticated analytics, scalable data solutions, and close partnerships across clinical, operational, and technology teams. This role blends full-stack data expertise with strategic insight to improve care delivery, support research, and enhance patient outcomes.

Role Overview

  • Analyze complex clinical, operational, and revenue data from Epic and non-Epic systems to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Translate high-level business questions into analytical frameworks, KPIs, and actionable insights for Health System Operations leadership.

  • Conduct cohort analyses, A/B testing, and time-to-event evaluations to assess the impact of operational and clinical initiatives.

  • Develop automated dashboards and scorecards in Tableau or Power BI to support self-service analytics and operational decision-making.

  • Serve as analytics lead for Health Systems research, Clinical Decision Support programs, and Epic AI model evaluation and monitoring.

  • Build and maintain data dictionaries, technical specifications, reusable code libraries, and scalable data models.

  • Lead robust testing and validation of data products, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and alignment with clinical workflows.

  • Support Epic upgrade cycles, monitor reporting impacts, and identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with Epic Clarity/Caboodle, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle datasets.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Tableau/Power BI, and modern data engineering practices.

  • Demonstrated success building automated analytics solutions, data pipelines, and performance-optimized dashboards.

  • Experience collaborating with clinical, operational, and technical teams on research, CDS, and AI-enabled initiatives.

  • Advanced analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights

  • Skilled in validating predictive models and conducting rigorous testing to ensure system integrity.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities, with a collaborative, user-centered approach to analytics.

Additional Information

  • Location: Hybrid, 3 times a month in NYC with flexibility for additional days as needed

  • Reporting to VP, Epic Systems

Pay Range: $133,500.00 - $220,400.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
