As a Security Officer - Access Control Financial Branch in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment within a financial institution setting. Your responsibilities include managing access points, monitoring badge activity, and conducting routine patrols to maintain a strong security-related presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and communication, while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry into the facility.
• Verify credentials of individuals entering the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations involving access control in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document and report any irregularities or security-related incidents related to access control.
• Collaborate with on-site personnel to support security-related procedures and emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular checks of entry and exit points to help to deter breaches and maintain secure access within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
