Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Driver in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. This primarily driving post allows you to engage with team members and visitors, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our company's values of reliability, innovation, and teamwork. A valid driver's license is required for this position.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings to Allied Universal management and site leadership as required.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of personnel and visitors entering restricted areas within the chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Support site operations by maintaining awareness of site-specific hazards and following all required procedures related to the handling and presence of chemicals and/or petrochemical materials.
  • Document and communicate any incidents, maintenance issues, or hazards encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
