As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those that may require an armed response.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency personnel as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptions and provide reassurance to those on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
