General Manager - JLL

What this job involves:

We are currently seeking a General Manager to join our office property management team. As the GM, you will provide leadership to your team and outstanding customer service to clients while managing an office portfolio with full responsibility for client and tenant satisfaction. This role involves managing industry-changing properties, preparing budgets and financial reports, overseeing TI and capital improvement projects, and developing staff. You will create strategic and collaborative solutions while embracing the human side of business through relationship building and conflict resolution. This position contributes directly to JLL's exponential growth by providing people integration, synergy, and an experiential approach that delivers differentiated property management experiences.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage office property portfolios ensuring exceptional client and tenant satisfaction
  • Prepare budgets, financial reports, and CAM reconciliations for property operations
  • Oversee tenant improvement and capital improvement projects from planning to completion
  • Lead, develop, and mentor property management staff to achieve performance goals
  • Communicate effectively with building owners, tenants, and vendors to maintain successful relationships
  • Resolve conflicts and handle escalated tenant issues to ensure client retention
  • Contribute to establishment and refinement of work quality standards and best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum seven years commercial property management experience with recent office, retail, industrial, or healthcare property experience
  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience preparing budgets, CAM reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Minimum three years management experience leading teams
  • Experience using property management accounting platforms such as Yardi, Kardin, or MRI
  • Familiarity with building systems, lease negotiation, documentation, and administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for relationship building across all organizational levels
  • Proven track record of results in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • New Mexico real estate license, or ability to obtain within six months

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with advanced degree as a plus
  • Proficiency in technology tools and applications with willingness to continuously develop skillset
  • Experience creating energized and collaborative work environments
  • Background in developing diverse teams through inclusive communication methods
  • Knowledge of cultural initiatives and best practices in property management
  • Experience with conflict resolution and client retention strategies
