Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business

The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch's role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec is active in several market segments and industries including data centers, commercial real estate buildings, and federal, state, and local government. Climatec has operated as an independent entity, maintaining its offices in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Climatec continues to represent and integrate numerous leading manufactures' product lines across its wide range of services, including Bosch products. In 2023, Bosch acquired Canadian-based security integrator Paladin Technologies. Merging Paladin Technologies and Climatec will significantly expand Bosch's Integrator Business in North America. Job Summary:
The Finance Business Partner oversees financial operations navigating business within a specific geographic region (or other strategic elements as Domain, Service, Strategic accounts), acting as a valuable partner to regional (or North-America wide functional as Domain, Service, Strategic Accounts) leadership to align financial performance with local business goals and corporate policies down to the Branch level.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Develop Regional-Branch budgets, forecasts, and financial plans (incl. derived budgets for Domains, Strategic Accounts and Service); provide insights to optimize regional performance including decentralized P&Ls.
  • Reporting: Prepare & review financial reports with Branch and Regional, including Domain and Strategic Account Management. Support Corporate Controlling in their reporting needs.
  • Cost Control, Profitability and NWC: Monitor Regional-Branch costs (incl. utilization, variances) incl. derived views for Domains, Strategic Accounts and Service - follow up on defined measures to achieve targets / support pricing strategies to enhance profitability. Monitor Regional-Branch Net Working Capital - follow up on defined measures to achieve targets / support strategies for improvements.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Regional-Branch to drive operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Strategic Decision and Support: Provide financial insights and internal support for corporate initiatives (e.g., M&A, Strategic Business Reviews).
  • Risk Management: Mitigate Region-Branch specific financial risks (e.g., local customer, economic challenges). Applies also to Domain, Strategic Accounts and Service view.
  • Leadership and Oversight: depending on qualifications, develop the Commercial Project Manager role responsible for projects considered as rather risky or very large in volume and collaborate closely with such role if applicable for the region of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned to support all financial aspects of the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: preferred 8 years - min 5 years - of progressive experience in finance or project accounting, ideally with a few years in a leadership role (e.g., Regional Controller, Domain Controller, Group Lead Project Accounting, Branch Lead FP&A).
  • Local Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the specific industry and operational drivers, domains, service and strategic accounts incl. expertise in regional regulations
  • Operational Focus: Hands-on approach to Regional-Branch-Project financial processes.
  • Problem-Solving / Adaptability: Flexibility to navigate Regional-Branch market dynamics.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze regional financial data for actionable insights.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with Regional-Branch stakeholders and translate corporate goals locally.
  • Strategic thinking: support strategic planning and local risk management.
  • Change Management: Drive FP&A standardization, provide best in class-learning & adaption incl. technology adoption.
  • System Savvy: Advanced experience with Project Accounting and Accounts Receivables software applications, and reporting solutions (i.e. PowerBI, Data Lake)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification and/or PMP certification highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with an ERP system(s), (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics MD365 preferred, SAP, Coins) Power BI, and Microsoft Office including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-Entity/Multi-Location Experience: Specific experience managing the finances and consolidation for multiple regional entities, business units, or international operations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP): Essential for a financial Business Partner, as it shows a deep understanding of project management methodologies, allowing the Business Partner to better align with project managers.
